Thomas Price Coffrin

Thomas Price Coffrin, 90, the son of Edgar and Emma Riggs Coffrin, was born February 20, 1893, in Clark County, Missouri and passed away May 26, 1983, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Missouri.

June 12, 1916, he was united in marriage to Ethel Mae Criol. She preceded him in death March 28, 1975.

He is survived by two sons, Rex, and wife, Aloha, and W.T. (Bill) and wife, Lola, of Memphis, Missouri; one brother, Sam Coffrin of Memphis, Missouri; four sisters, Oma Bowe of Chula, Missouri, Charlotte Phillips, Eva Moffett and Nina Marsh, all of Memphis, Missouri; three grandsons, Kenny Bill Coffrin, of Memphis, Missouri, and Terry Coffrin of Sarasota, Florida; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, his parents, and one sister, Edna.

Mr. Coffrin lived in Scotland and Clark counties. He lived most of his life on a farm north of Memphis. After retiring Mr. and Mrs. Coffrin moved to Memphis. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Memphis, Missouri.

Services for Mr. Coffrin were held Saturday, May 28, 1983, at 10 a.m. in the Payne-Gerth Funeral Chapel, Memphis, Missouri. Rev. Kenneth Campbell and Rev. Clifford Horton officiated. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery. Body bearers were Malcomb Peterson, Harry Crawford, Paul Burns, Wesley Lay, Neal Strong and Waldo McWilliam.
