Hammans services Friday

Funeral services for Edwin "Eddie" C. Hammans, 76, 703 W. Washington, who died Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience beginning at 3 p.m. today. Memorials are to the donor's choice. Hammans was born Oct. 28, 1910 in Van Buren County, the son of Thomas and Flo Bough Hammans. He married Goldie Hooper Aug. 16, 1941 in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

He was an army veteran of WWII, serving as an airplane engineer mechanic from June 1942 to September 1945. He had worked at Louden Manufacturing for 30 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, Wayne of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
