Clarence (Jack) Brewer

Funeral services for Clarence (Jack) Brewer were held Tuesday, December 14, at the Christian Church in Milton with James D. McKean and Rev. Dale Church officiating. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Cantril.

He was born July 27, 1894, at Stronghurst, Ill. the son of Albert and Clara Bowen Brewer. Most of his life was spent in Van Buren and Davis County. He he was a retired farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

November 7, 1916, he was married to Mrs. Eva Beggs, who preceded him in death April 18, 1953.

October 2, 1955, he was married to Mrs. Gertrude Stevens of Ft. Madison.

He is survived by three step-sons, Stanley Beggs of Milton, Manley Beggs of Sigourney, Wm. Stevens of Ft. Madison; three step-daughters, Mrs. Eileen Oge, Ft. Madison; Mrs. Donna Blind, Weaver; Mrs. Beverly Luton, Niota, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Addie Brooks, Sacramento, Calif., and one brother, Chalmer Brewer of Omaha, Neb.; 14 step-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
