Charles F. Brady

Charles F. Brady, 81, Apartment 1, Northland Drive, Bloomfield, died at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis County Hospital.

He was born June 27, 1898 in Van Buren County to Alfred M. and Sophia E. Warner Brady. He was a resident of Van Buren County all of his life until he moved to Bloomfield in 1973 after retirement. He married Hazel E. Parr on Sept. 1, 1918 at Milton.

He owned and operated a fee and produce business in Milton for about 23 years. In 1947, he purchased an insurance agency and operated it for 17 years before retiring in 1964. He was the clerk of the town of Milton for many years and was also the treasurer and member of the board of Milton Sunnyside Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Jean Summer of Topeka, Kan.; a granddaughter; a brother, Sherman of Missouri; and a sister, Darlien Mustoe of Michigan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Milton United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth assisted by the Rev. Edward Kail. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

The casket will go from the Wagler Funeral Home to the church at noon Friday and will be closed at the beginning of the service.

a memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church.
