EDRIE BOYER

Services for Edrie Olive Boyer, 81, of Louisiana and formerly of Memphis were held March 20 at the First Christian Church in Memphis. Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiated. Burial was in Providence Cemetery in Mount Zion.

Mrs. Boyer died at 9:40 p.m. March 17, 1987, in Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana.

She was born April 22, 1905, in Stiles, Ia. to Sam and Etta Kratzer Rader.

She married James Madison Boyer in May 1926 in Memphis. he died in 1963.

Survivors include five sons, James Boyer of Montrose, Ia., Russell Boyer of Sycamore, Ill., Robert Boyer of Fort Worth, Texas, Charles Boyer of Grinnell, Ia., and Dave Boyer of Bowling Green; two daughters, Shirley Olson of Chicago, Ill., and Helen Ruth Bourassa of Naperville, Ill.; one sister, Marion Garman of Gorin; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Rosemary; two brothers Fred Rader and Paul Rader; two sisters Daisy Clark and Helen Farmer.

Mrs. Boyer lived in the Memphis area most of her life until moving to Pike County two years ago. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Memphis.

Pallbearers were Lavern Stott, John Rader, Clarence Cunningham, Frank White, Howard Baker, Phil Strubel. Organist was Ann Luther and soloist was Rev. Kenneth Campbell.
