Dola Bletzer

Dola Belva Bletzer, 89, of the Bloomfield Care Center and formerly of Milton, died at 8:31 a.m. January 21, 1995, at Bloomfield Care Center.

She was born July 4, 1905, in Rochester, Illinois to John and Nora Hayne Gaffney. She married Elmer Bletzer May 5, 1924, in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and nurse's aide at Davis County Hospital. She was a member of Grace united Methodist Church in Milton.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Ogden of Ottumwa Route 7; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Gaffney of Fort Madison.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Hoover, three brothers, and three sisters.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 1994(err), at Grace United Methodist Church in Milton, the Rev. Cleta McQuerry officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Memorials may be made to her church.

Priester Funeral Home in Bloomfield, was in charge of arrangements.
