Frank R. Blair

CANTRIL - Frank R. Blair, 89, died Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua. A former Ottumwan, he was a farmer and formerly worked at John Morrell & Co.

He was born Dec. 10, 1883, in Van Buren County, to Samuel and Rhoda Haney Blair. On Jan. 21, 1909, he married Sarah Cowles. She succeeded him in death, as did one son and one brother.

Surviving are one son, Everett of Cantril; one daughter, Helen Courter of Winfield; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and one brother, Walter of Colorado.

The service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton, with Len Camp officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
