ANTHONY BIRCHMIER

Anthony J. Birchmier, age 83 years, 5 months and 23 days was found dead at his farm home southeast of Cantril, Iowa on Saturday, July 30, 1977.

He was born on February 7, 1894, the son of Rosina Schneider and Theophilus Birchmier in Troy, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers; Albert, Walter, Jacob, Franklin and Andrew and two sisters, Teresa and Emma.

A Christian Wake was held at the Wellborn Funeral Home on Sunday evening, July 31, 1977 at 7:30 P.M.

He was a member of the Catholic Church, the V.F.W. and American Legion.

Mass was held at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Bloomfield, Iowa at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 1, 1977, with Father E. William Kaska officiating.

A full military Rite was conducted at the Troy Cemetery in Troy, Iowa.

Wellborn Funeral Home of Milton was in charge of arrangements.
