KAHOKA, Mo. - Edwin Leland Hodges, 57, North Pole, Alaska, former Kahoka resident, died at 4 p.m., Monday, April 1, in a Fairbanks, Alaska, hospital.

The son of Lindsey and Maude Whaley Hodges, he was born in Kahoka, May 5, 1916. He married Helen Warren, March 26, 1946. She survives.

Mr. Hodges was a civil service worker. He was a member of the Kahoka Christian church, Hiram Lodge No. 362, AF & AM, and Kahoka Chapter No. 40, OES. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is also survived by one foster son, Jerry Nelsen, Kahoka, and his mother of Kahoka.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.

Funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 6, in the Wilson Funeral home. The Rev. David Vaughn will officiate. Interment will be in the Kahoka cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning.
