MRS. LESLIE PUMROY

Mrs. Leslie Pumroy, 67, longtime resident of the Fairfield Community, died suddenly June 29 at her home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Ned Gillum in charge. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Beulah Pumroy was born July 29, 1903, at Birmingham, the daughter of Edward and Mary Johnston Hudgel. She was reared and educated in Birmingham and Fairfield, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1925.

Her marriage to Leslie J. Pumroy took place Aug. 4, 1928 in Fairfield. She was a member of the First Christian Church and many other organizations in the community. She was also very active at the local and state levels of the Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pumroy is survived by one son, James Pumroy, Ottumwa; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. (remainder is missing) . . . . .
