John Ervin Trout

John Ervin Trout, 90, a former Douds resident, died June 2 in a Loveland, Colo., hospital.

The Funeral was held in Loveland with burial in Loveland Burial Park.

The son of Hiram L. and Jane Jones Trout, he was born Dec. 11, 1880, at Douds. He lived in the Douds community and did carpenter work and farming. He moved in 1915 to Loveland where he was a contractor-carpenter. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He married Estella Hemphill at Douds on April 9, 1902. She survives as do five children, G. Alvin of Longmont, Colo., Willa Marie Schoenig of Silver City, Robert and Viola Meritt of Loveland and Ray of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray of Douds and Floyd of Loveland; and three sisters, Bertha Roach of Avondale, Ariz., Blanche Howard of Red Oak, and Mabel Knous of Rushville, Ill.

Two children, four brothers and an infant sister preceded him in death.
