William B. FLEMING, born Strausberg, PA 12/30/1838, died Jan. 18, 1906 in Keosauqua, 67 years 19 days. When 12 years parents moved to Ohio. In 1861 enlisted in 12th Ohio Independent Battery. In service 4 years 7 days, Rank 2nd Lt. After war left Ohio for Michigan then to Milton, Iowa. Taught school. Married 2/11/1872, Miss Florence KENT. Five children, boy and girl died infancy. She survives her husband with daughter Ethel and 2 sons, Carl and Craig. At this time, Carl in Ohio – Craig in Pennsylvania. Moved from Milton to Keosauqua in 1870. Had brother who lives in Grand Lodge, Michigan and another in Pittsburg [sic], Pennsylvania.
