Craig Brice Fritsinger

Craig Brice Fritsinger, 81, passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, May 6, at his home in Bonaparte.

He was born January 27, 1890, the son of Jacob and Flora Pender Fritsinger. He attended the Franklin County and the Bonaparte Public schools. He was in the service for 19 months during World War I.

On April 3, 1920, he married Crystal Miller at Keosauqua, Ia. To this union was born three daughters.

Most of his life was spent as a farmer until retirement several years ago. Craig was a faithful member of the Sargeant-Osweiler Post 563 for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Norma) Bell and Mrs. Martin (Donna June) Hornbaker, both of Bonaparte, two granddaughters, five grandsons, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Pearl Joyce, who died at the age 16, one sister, one brother, and several half brothers.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Bonaparte. The Rev. Gerald Ogden officiated.

Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery with military rites by the Bonaparte American Legion.

The Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home of Donnellson was in charge of arrangements.
