Ethel L. Giberson

Mrs. James Giberson, 87, died Monday, March 29 at 4:45 p.m. at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. She had been in serious condition for 12 days.

Funeral services were Friday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at the Big Cedar Christian Church northeast of Stockport with the Rev. Millard Marshall in charge. Burial was in Spence(r) Cemetery.

Ethel L. Giberson was born Aug. 4, 1883, in Jefferson County but spent most all of her life in Van Buren County. She was the daughter of Isaac and Lydia Giberson Lazenby.

She was married Sept. 20, 1905, to James Giberson. He died July 2, 1946. The Giberson home is located 4 1/2 miles northeast of Stockport.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Margie Snead, Keosauqua; and four sons, George, Thomas, Warren and Bernie, all of Stockport. Also 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Golda Moore, Detroit, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by four sons, four sisters and two brothers.
