J. Clinton Harden

J. Clinton Harden, 78, of Avon Park, Fla. died March 29, 1971. He was born near Mt. Sterling, Iowa, the son of Geo. L. and Viola Pettit Harden.

A veteran of World War I, he served overseas. After the war was over he lived in Dowagiac, Mich., where he was employed as heating engineer by Round Oak Furnace Co.

He was a member of the Christian Church.

On June 3, 1922, he was united in marriage to Ethyl Rice of Dowagiac.

Survivors are his widow; one son, Don G., daughter-in-law, Bettye, and one granddaughter, Leslie Camile of Salimar, Calif.; nieces and nephews; one sister, Ethel Fitzgerald of near Mt. Sterling, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Nora, and one brother, Dr. Frank L. Harden.

Clinton and his wife moved to Avon Park, Fla. when he retired.

Services will be held in Avon Park. Interment will be at Downgiac.
