Mrs. Lottie Colter

Mrs. Lottie L. Colter, 83, widow of Charles Colter, former Van Buren County resident, died Saturday, March 6 at Long Beach, Calif.

The body arrived at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, late Tuesday night. The service was Wednesday, 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Ford of Keosauqua United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Center Chapel Cemetery southeast of Keosauqua.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Boyer, her early life was spent in the Pittsburg community. She later lived for many years in Ottumwa, before moving to Calif. She married William Derbin who preceded her in death. She later married Charles Colter, who also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Elsie Harness and several nieces and nephews.
