Jacob F. Rohdy, 93, of Farmington died Tuesday, March 2, at 11:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Hospital, Fort Madison. He had been in failing health for a month.

He was born Feb. 21, 1878 in Van Buren County, the son of Charles and Katharyn Roth Rohdy.

He married Sophia Schau Jan. 8, 1903 at Farmington. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in January. They spent all of their married life on the same farm. They moved to the Donnellson Manor Nursing Home in August of 1970.

He is a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Donnellson, Modern Woodmen of America.

He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Harmon Schau of his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Harmon Schau of Donnellson and Mrs. Clyde DeRosear of Fort Madison; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

The funeral service will be Thursday, March 4, at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's United Church of Christ at Donnellson. The Rev. Victor Engelmann will officiate. Burial will be in the Primrose cemetery. The body is at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Donnellson.
