Milton - Funeral services for Gladys Darnell, 75, were held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Milton United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Herbert Phillips. Burial was in Sunnyslope Cemetery. Arrangements by Wellborn Funeral Home, Milton.

She died Sunday at Silver Haven in Bloomfield.

She was born March 28, 1895 in Davis County, the daughter of James and Rosa Kennedy Knott. On April 28, 1915, she married Irvin Darnell, who survives. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Pythian Sisters.

Other survivors are three sons, Cyril Dean and James Kenneth of Burlington and Lowell Francis of Ames; two daughters, Vivian Lanore Matthews of Pulaski and Mrs. Evelyn Jean Price of Keokuk; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Grace Knott of Bloomfield.

A memorial has been established to the crafts program at Silver Haven, under the direction of Mrs. Franklin Hill of Bloomfield.
