Mrs. Violet Gresham

Mrs. Violet Gresham, 64, of Farmington, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 5:30 a.m. at the home of her daugther, Mrs. Earl (Joy) Counts of Farmington.

She was born Oct. 10, 1906 in Luray, Mo., the daughter of Alvin Kerr and Mae Jinkens Kerr. She spent her childhood in Clark County, Mo.

She married Herbert Gresham in November of 1931 at Canton, Mo. He preceded her in death.

She moved to Farmington from Kahoka in 1960 and was formerly employed at the Farmington Rest Home. She was a member of the Chambersburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Counts, and one brother, Forest Kerr of Primrose; a cousin, Pauline Myers of Salt Lake City, Utah, who was reared in the home; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. in the Farmington Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. C.C. Swalwell and the Rev. Eddie West will officiate. Burial will be in the Kahoka City Cemetery, Kahoka, Mo.
