Mrs. Edward Pickering

Mrs. Margaret B. Pickering, 56, died at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, Jan. 3 in University Hospitals, Iowa City, where she had been a patient since Thursday.

She was born June 9, 1914, in Wyoming. On July 6, 1933, she married Edward Pickering at Kirksville, Mo. She operated a beauty salon at Ollie for 20 years before she and her husband became associated with the Ollie Sale Barn. In 1952, they became part owners of the Keosauqua Sales Co., where Mrs. Pickering worked as bookkeeper until 1968. She had lived at Keosauqua 15 years, and was a past matron of Richland Chapter 360, O.E.S.

She is survived by her husband; her mother, Mrs. Bess Streeter, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Blank, both of Lubbock, Tex.; a brother, Robert L. Streeter of Casper, Wyo., and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucille Emerton of San Diego, Calif.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 in the Catcott Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery.
