Mrs. Charles Lehman

EDDYVILLE - Mrs. Elizabeth Lehman, 93, died at Ottumwa Hospital, Ottumwa, Sunday at 4:15 p.m. She had been a patient about two weeks.

She was born may 6, 1877, in County of Durham, Eng., the daughter of Robert and Mary Stonehouse. She came to the United States at age eight, and had spent most of her life in rural Eddyville. On Sept. 21, 1898, she married Charles F. Lehman, who died Dec. 17, 1942.

Surviving are a son, Lewis, with whom she made her home, and a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Jordan, both of Eddyville; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sons, two daughters, one foster daughter, two brothers, one sister, one grandchild; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

(Rhe) service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Eddyville United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Robert Smith. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Eddyville Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
