Gaston Droz

Gaston John Droz, 78, well-known Jefferson County farmer, died unexpectedly at his farm home 8 miles southeast of Fairfield about 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8.

Weston Behner Funeral Home at Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.

Droz was born Oct. 13, 1891 in Jefferson County, the son of J.S. and Mary Prince Droz. He married Bessie Keller Dec. 15, 1921 and she survives.

He had lived all his life on the same farm in Cedar township.

Survivors include his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Jim Shannan of Route 3, Fairfield and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son.
