Mrs. James Wade

Mrs. Myrtle D. Wade, 74, died at University Hospitals in Iowa City Monday, Nov. 17.

Born March 23, 1895, at Centerville, she was the daughter of George Oliver and Mary Ellen Burton Brewer. She was married Feb. 4, 1910 to James Wade at Centerville. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Wade Jr. of Fairfield and Carroll (Ted) at home; two daughters, Mary Holmes of Birmingham and Bernice Countryman of Moline, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Faye Fisher of Spokane, Wash., Mabel Russell of Puyallup, Wash., Eva Pengra of Buffalo and Agnes Baird of Chicago.

Mrs. Wade was a member of the Methodist Church and the Birmingham American Auxiliary.

The funeral will be Thursday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. at Birmingham United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight C. Bonham officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
