MRS. ROSA E. DAVIS

Mrs. Rosa E. Davis, 82, of Farmington, died Tuesday, May 27 at 10:05 A.M. in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua. Death terminated a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 27, 1886 near Bonaparte, the daughter of George W. and Emma L. Miller. On Feb. 14, 1909 at Bonaparte she married Francis Earle Davis. He preceded her in death. She lived in the state of Washington many years before moving back to this area. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Bonaparte Baptist Church and the Bonaparte Rebekah Lodge.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Granville (Zula) Winkler of Everett, Wash., and Mrs. Darrell (Zelda) Jorgenson of Seattle, Wash.; one son, Charles Clifford Davis, address unknown; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Breazeale, Modesta, Calif. and Mrs. Leo Nelson, Farmington; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 29 in the Bonaparte Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Schirm officiating. Burial in Bonaparte Cemetery.

The body will be removed from Millers Home for Funeral, Farmington and taken to the Carl Wilson home in Bonaparte Wednesday afternoon.
