Newell A. Clark

Newell A. Clark, 65, of 3008 C Ave. N.E., Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 2 after a long illness.

A resident of Cedar Rapids for 25 years, he was born Aug. 26, 1903 at Cantril. He was married to Margery H. Cox Nov. 2, 1932 at Kahoka, Mo.

He was employed by the Cedar Rapids school system for 22 years and was head custodian at Wright school since it was built. He retired in 1968. He was a member of the building service Employes International Union A.F.L., C.I.O.

Surviving are his wife Margery; three daughters, Mrs. Keith Coppel of Sparta, N.J., Mrs. Molito Rasco of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. John Trotorice of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Wm. Huff of Cantril; a brother, Guy Clark of West Burlington; four grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Monday, May 5 at the Chapel of Memories, Rev. Paul W. Summerville of the Kenwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial at Cedar Memorial cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
