Last rites for Samuel H. Glendenning, 78, Mount Pleasant, were held Monday morning, March 3, at the Beatty Funeral Home at Salem. Burial was in Galesburg, Ill.

Glendenning died Friday, Feb. 28, at his home. He formerly lived in the New London and Stockport communities before moving to Mt. Pleasant 12 years ago. He was active for many years in the livestock and farm management business.

Glendenning was born Jan. 18, 1891, at Mt. Hamill. He was married to Daisy Howell Oct. 30, 1917.

Surviving are his widow and seven children. Those from this area are the Rev. Amos Glendenning, Lockridge; and Mrs. Enoch Ruggles, Mt. Pleasant.
