Charles M. Amsberry

Charles M. Amsberry, 88, Stockport, died Monday night Dec. 30, at Van Buren Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

He was born March 19, 1880, the son of Horace Allen and Mary Jane Blaine Amsberry. He married Evelyn Drew who died in 1926. He was a retired carpenter and had made his home with his step-daughter, Mrs. Maree Carter of Stockport, for the past 30 years.

Surviving: Three step-children, Mrs. Maree Carter, Stockport; Mrs. Irene Perry, Aurora, Colo., and Charles A. Teeter, Lawrence, Kans.; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Tade of Milton. Seven brothers and two sisters died previously.

Services were held Thursday at 1 p.m., at the Stockport Christian Church, with the Rev. Chester Werft officiating. Burial was in Lovilia Cemetery, Lovilia, Iowa.
