Joseph Brumley
Services for Joseph R. Brumley, 80 year old retired retail grocer, who died Saturday, Sept. 14, were held Tuesday, at 10:30 A.M., at Elliott-Lunning Chapel, Burlington. Burial was in Pulaski cemetery at 2 P.M.
Mr. Brumley, whose home was at 1204 Acres, Burlington, was at one time with Benner Tea in Bloomfield and Milton. He operated stores in Burlington also. Mr. Brumley was a member of the Eleusis Lodge 358 AF & AM in Pulaski, and the O.E.S. in Burlington. On Nov. 1, 1916, in Bloomington, he married Ethel L. Saunders.
Surviving are the wife, two daughters, Mrs. Romana Thayer, Albuquerque, N.M. and Mrs. Doris Kelley, Danville; a son, Richard, of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Huddleston, Joliet, Mont., and Mrs. Edith Antsine, Ottumwa, and 10 grandchildren.
