William A. Tade "Dub", 72, of Bonaparte died of cancer at 2:20 P.M. Wednesday, August 11 at Burlington Medical Center, Burlington.
The son of William B. and Gertrude McDonald Tade, he was born Jan. 6, 1910 in Harrisburg Township and lived his life in the Bonaparte community. On March 1, 1939 he married Goldie Weiher at Kahoka, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, William, Farmington, a daughter, Mrs. Brent (Karen) Richardson of Stockport; three grandchildren. Angela Tade, Lezlee and Ryan Richardson; two sisters, Mrs. Phil (Kathryn) Hixson, Hillsboro and Mrs. Jack (Martha) Fleming of Des Moines; a sister-in-law Frances Tade, Bonaparte. Two brothers Donald and Robert precede him in death.
He operated a service station on Highway 2 south of Bonaparte and was a retired Van Buren County Highway Department employee. He was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church, Bonaparte Lodge No. 73, A.F. & A.M. and the Farmington Rod & Gun Club.
Services were held Saturday, August 14, 1982 at 11 A.M. at the Harrisburg Baptist Church north of Bonaparte with Rev. Robert Buchanan, Pastor, officiating. Burial was in Vale Cemetery.
Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements. Memorials to the church or cemetery maybe left at the funeral home.
This obit was taken from the "VAN BUREN COUNTY LEADER-RECORD" dated Thursday, August 19, 1982. Mr. Tade was my great uncle.
