LEROY KINYON

LeRoy Kinyon, 60, farmer of near Keosauqua, was killed in a care accident early Sunday evening, Sept. 25 near his home.

He was born at Turkey River, Ia. on March 18, 1906, the son of Charley and Elsie Minger Kinyon.

He was married on Feb. 23, 1929 to Dorothy Friedlein of Guttenberg, who survives. They have lived at or near Keosauqua since 1942. He was a member of the Christian church.

Survivors are his widow, Dorothy; one son, Donald Kinyon of Mason City; a daughter, Lana, at home; three grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Elsie Kinyon White of Elport; a brother, Howard Kinyon of Potosi, Wisc.; a sister, Mrs. Naomi Odden of Denair, Calif.; four step-brothers and four step-sisters.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kay.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. at the Keosauqua Christian church with the pastor, Rev. Larry McAdoo, in charge. The body was removed from the Catcott Funeral Home to the Tuecke Funeral Home at Guttenberg and graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 28, in the City cemetery there.
