MRS. FRANK WESELY, SR.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Mary E.) Wesely, Sr., 72, of Salem, were held at the Salem Methodist Church on Monday, Aug. 15, 1966 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ardith Anderson and Rev. Walter Wellington officiating. Mrs. Wesely passed away at the Henry County Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 where she had been admitted on Wednesday after becoming suddenly ill.

Music was provided by Mrs. A.L. Brill, pianist and Mrs. Delmar Barton, soloist.

Bearers were Warren Brewster, Lowell Burden, Max Lance, Guy Messer, George Swailes and Max Wilson.

Interment was in the Salem East Cemetery with Beatty Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband Frank; five sons: Paul E. of Iceland, Frank, Jr., of Memphis, Mo., George A. of Lockridge, Charles R. and Merlin E. of Mt. Pleasant; five daughters: Mrs. Bertha W. Shannon of Silver Spring, Maryland, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Alexander of Oaklawn, Ill., Mrs. Ronald (Jeane) Henderson of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Richard (Jane) Trueblood and Mrs. Nathan (Genevieve) Fetterman, both of Salem.

Also surviving is a brother, Paul Cooper of Keyes, Okla. and a son-in-law, Robert Messer of Mt. Pleasant; 42 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was born Aug. 3, 1894 in Harrison County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Amanda Cooper.

She was married to Frank J. Wesely on Dec. 30, 1913 at Omaha, Nebraska. She had been a resident of Henry County since 1942.

She was a member of the Salem Methodist Church, the Church Circle, Royal Neighbors Club, Salem Women's Club, the Salem Legion Auxiliary and the Henry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Two children are deceased, John W. Wesely and Mrs. Robert (Priscilla) Messer. Also preceding her death were her parents and two brothers.
