Mrs. Carol Hunter
Mrs. Carol Hunter, 61, of Bonaparte, died Tuesday, Apr. 5, at 1:45 p.m. in Laughlin Hospital, Kirksville, Mo. where she had been a patient three days. She had been ill about a week.
She was the daughter of Chan and Marie Ochsner Golden, born Dec. 25, 1904, in Nauvoo, Ill.
She married Willard Hunter on June 19, 1929 at Chicago. He died Sept. 14, 1964.
She lived in Chicago about 17 years moving to Bonaparte in 1943. The Hunters formerly operated a restaurant in Bonaparte.
Mrs. Hunter was a member of the Methodist church at Bonaparte, sang in the church choir and was treasurer and finance officer of the church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Stella Lawson of Elvaston, Ill. and Mrs. Marguerite Hogue of St. Joseph, Mo.; two nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Martin and Earl Golden.
Funeral service was held Friday, Apr. 8, at 11 a.m. in the Methodist church at Bonaparte with the Rev. Leroy Moore officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.
Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
