JOHN D. McCLINTOCK

BONAPARTE - John D. McClintock, 79, of Bonaparte, was found by neighbors dead at his home the evening of Jan. 22.

Van Buren County authorities estimate he died Jan. 17 or 18 of natural causes.

He was born to William and Grace Shupe McClintock Nov. 20, 1898, near Rushville, Ill. He lived most of his life in the Bonaparte area, where he worked as a farm laborer.

Survivors: brothers Elmer of Bonaparte, Ray of Fort Madison and Earl of Keokuk; and a sister, Elmar Phillips of Fort Madison.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bonaparte Cemetery, the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Arrangements: Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
