DOUDS - Services for Ruth J. Edwards, 77, who died Dec. 29 at home, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

The Rev. Harold Harryman will officiate. Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds. Memorial: Heart Fund.

She was born to John and Stella Connor Myers on March 17, 1900, in Davis County and lived most of her life in Douds. On June 2, 1917, she married John H. Edwards who died in 1963. She was a member of Douds Temple 104 of Pythian Sisters and was one of the founders of the hot lunch program at Douds school, where she worked many years as a cook.

Survivors: a brother, Oscar Myers of Appleton, Wis.; and sisters Lela Trout of Loveland, Colo., and Faye Hargrove of Harrison, Ark.
