Ottumwa, Iowa, Monday, October 3, 1977

LELAND PINNELL

MILTON - Services and burial were in Denver Oct. 25 for Leland K. Pinnell, 79, a native of the Milton area who died at Denver Veterans Administration Hospital Oct. 21.

He was born June 23, 1898, south of Milton to Mary E. and A.J. Pinnell. He married Lucille Bennett Rice in Milton on Aug. 22, 1921. She died in 1959. He married Rosa Kees of Denver on Feb. 24, 1968.

He was educated in Milton public schools, attended business college at Chillicothe, Mo., and Fort Madison, Iowa, and had lived in Denver the past 28 years. He was a veteran of World War I and was retired from United Bank of Denver. He was a member of Warren United Methodist Church in Denver, Empire Lodge 269 AF&AM of Ottumwa, Rocky Mountain Consistory, El Jebel Shrine of Denver and Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors: his widow and a daughter, Mrs. Donald Hargrove of Milton.

Memorials: Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children, 4625 W. 50th Ave., Denver, Colo. 80200; or Warren United Methodist Church, 1630 E. 14th Ave., Denver, Col. 80218.
