CASSATT RITES

CENTERVILLE - The service for Fern William Cassatt, 82, of Moulton Route 1, who died Wednesday, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home. The Rev. David Young will be in Mount Ararat Cemetery east of Centerville.

The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m.

Contributions to a memorial fund may be left at the funeral home.

Mr. Cassatt was born Aug. 6, 1894, near Milton to James E. and Martha Bird Spraker Cassatt. On Feb. 7, 1923, he married Pearl Peek in Centerville.

He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are four sons, Jimmie of Mira Loma, Calif., Onley of Purdin, Mo., Raymond of Centerville and Jakie Eureka, Calif.; one daughter, Gertrude L. Woods of Los Banos, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ross of Bloomfield and Harold of Milton; and two sisters, Phyllis Davis of Bloomfield and Helen Simmons of Ottumwa.
