KEOSAUQUA - John F. Stegelman, 66, of Keosauqua, died of cancer Saturday at 8:45 p.m. at Van Buren County Hospital, where he was admitted April 25.

He was born Aug. 13, 1920, at Milton to Fred and Matilda Stegelman. He was employed 30 years at Barker Products in Keosauqua, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Keosauqua Christian Church.

On Dec. 24, 1929, he married Lena E. Jemison at Fairfield. They lived their entire married life at the same address in Keosauqua. She died April 14 of this year.

Surviving are one son, Albert of Borger, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Lunsford of Keosauqua; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters, and three sisters, Elsie Thomas of Peoria, Ill., Pauline Passmore of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Opal Rupe of Ottumwa.

The service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Keosauqua Christian Church, with the Rev. Charles Fudenski officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery.

The body is at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
