LEE W. ZANE

BONAPARTE - Lee W. Zane, 85, of Bonaparte, died Saturday at 4:45 p.m. at Keosauqua.

He was born Jan. 30, 1891, at Farmington to Wilbert and Sarah Crawford Zane. A Van Buren County farmer most of his life, he was a member of the United Methodist Church at Farmington.

On Nov. 14, 1917, he married Bessie Hunter at Burlington. She died in 1965. He married Blanche Ranson on Feb. 2, 1968, in Missouri. She survives.

Also surviving are two son, Robert of Hillsboro and Lee W. Jr. of Barrington, Ill.; three stepdaughters; two stepsons; seven grandchildren; and 16 stepgrandchildren.

The service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Farmington United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the Bonaparte Cemetry.

The body is at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
