EMMETT SLUTTS

Emmett G. (Bob) Slutts, 74, died Saturday at his home in Oak Harbor, Wash.

Born Jan. 25, 1902, at Mount Zion, to James and Anna Slutts, he was a resident of Mount Zion and Keosauqua. In later years he moved to Ottumwa where he was employed by John Madden Co. He moved to Washington in 1975.

He is survived by his widow, Lottie; four stepsons, William Davis of Montrose, Forest Davis of Fargo, N.D., Richard Davis of Centerville and George Davis of Ottumwa; one stepdaughter of Oak Harbor, Wash.; 15 stepgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Webb Slutts of Ottumwa and Elmer Slutts of Rocklin, Calif.; and three sisters, Linnett Barnett of Fairfield, Alice Hammersley of Ottumwa and Martha Utterback of Mesa, Ariz.

Services and burial were in Oak Harbor.
