CECIL RIDGEWAY

PITTSBURG - Cecil L. Ridgeway, 65, farmer and line trucker, died unexpectedly Tuesday in a field on his farm north of here in Van Buren County.

He had driven his pickup to feed cattle, probably about mid-day, and had planned to be away in the afternoon. When his wife returned from work in the evening and he was not home, she became concerned.

His son-in-law found him about 6:15 p.m. beside the truck where he had attempted to put on tire chains. Dr. J.T. Worrell, county medical examiner, attributed death to a heart attack.

Mr. Ridgeway was born April 5, 1910, at Knoxville to Lewis and Agnes Jeffreys Ridgeway. On March 27, 1929, he married Hazel Giberson at Kahoka, Mo. He had farmed 30 years on the present farm.

Surviving besides his widow are one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Boyer of Keosauqua; three sons, Melvin of Troy, Thomas of Fairfield and Glen with the Marines Corps in Arlington, Va.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.

The service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Harold Schnedler officiating. Burial will be in the Pittsburg Cemetery.
