H.C. WHITMORE

Hazard Christian Whitmore, 67, of Tucson, Arizona, died there Nov. 8.

He was born Aug. 11, 1908, in Fairfield to Gerry E. and Flora Schmidt Whitmore. He spent his early life in Iowa and Illinois, moving to the southwest 30 years ago. He was a sheet metal worker.

Surviving are his widow, three sons, two daughters, one stepdaughter, 10 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, one great-grandchild and three sisters and one brother, including Marie Greenfile(Greenfield) of Douds and Roscoe Whitmore of Libertyville.

The cremated remains were interred Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Keosauqua, with Pedrick Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
