MAE S. SANFORD

Mae S. Sanford, daughter of Victor P. and Edna Hudson Doud, was born August 25, 1890 in Douds and died Monday, December 8, 1975, at Golden Age Manor in Centerville, where she had resided since 1967. Most of her life was spent in Douds.

She was married to Ora W. Sanford, who preceded her in death in 1958.

Remaining to cherish her memory are a sister, Mrs. Mabel Daniels, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Two brothers, Clell and Stanley Doud, preceded her in death.

She and her husband were especialy fond of children, and though they had none of their own, were like another set of parents for their nieces and nephews and children in their neighborhood and community.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 12, 1975 at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Donald Strauch, United Methodist pastor, officiating. Vocalists were Mrs. Keith A. Smith and Mrs. Robert Pedrick. Mrs. Clyde Loomis was the organist. Pallbearers were Davis Pollock, Dale Morrow, Cyrus Greenfield, Clyde Loomis, Thomas Nutt and Raymond Finney. Interment was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.
