VERA ELLEN SMITH

Vera Ellen Smith, daughter of Oren R. and Mary E. Walker Bradford was born December 25th, 1904, near Stockport, Iowa, and departed this life on September 26th, 1975, at Merritt Hospital in Oakland, California, at the age of 70 years, 9 mo. and 1 day. She was hospitalized three days.

On September 7th, 1930, she was united in marriage to John A. Smith. He survives. Also surviving are her twin sister, Veda Arthur of Long Beach, California, a sister, Gladys Lynn of Stockport, a sister-in-law Bessie Wellington of Troon-Camborne England, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a retired office employee of General Motors Corp. Chevrolet Division, in Oakland, California.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at Coopers Chapel in Oakland, California, conducted by Rev. Floyd Lawson. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery at Eureka, California, in charge of Sanders Mortuary. Grave side services were conducted by Rev. Karl Ekaas.
