DIANA PECH

Diana Pech, 28, Keosauqua, died from a gunshot wound to her head at approximately 10:30 a.m. Sunday in her basement of the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Loeffler.

Van Buren county authorities said the 20-guage shotgun wound was self-inflicted. A note was left but its contents were not revealed.

She was born March 26, 1947, at Fairfield, the daughter of Darrell and Laura Reddick Loeffler. A graduate of Van Buren Community High School in 1965, she graduated from American Institute of Commerce in Davenport in 1966 and worked for Davenport Chamber of Commerce and an accounting firm there prior to moving to California.

She maried Robert Pech, April 22, 1967. In October, 1974, she returned here.

Surviving: The husband, in California; three children, Angela Kay, Bradley, and La Dawn, all at home; her parents; three sisters, Darlene Jemison, St. Charles, Missouri, Donna Murphy, Keosauqua, and Dixie Carruthers, Emporia, Kansas.

Funeral was held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Keosauqua Congregational Church, Rev. Harold Schnedler; Purdom cemetery.
