W.C. BREWER

W.C. Brewer passed away August 14, 1975, at Alliance, Nebraska, in the hospital. He was born November 28, 1902, in Van Buren County and lived there until his schooling was over. He graduated when Bruce McComb was Supt. at Douds. He always enjoyed seeing and visiting with Mr. McComb when he made numerous visits to be with relatives in Van Buren County. He attended the 50th Anniversary at the Alumni at Douds in 1974. His (wife) Zelda (Hootman) Brewer passed away in November, 1956, in Alliance, Nebraska. He leaves to mourn his passing, a son, Wayne and family who live in the state of Georgia, three grandsons and one granddaughter, three brothers, Lester of Keosauqua, Glen of Ohallalla, Nebraska, and Van of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and one sister, Ethel Hissem of Milton. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 16th, at the Christian Church in Alliance.
