Ben Dean Jones was born June 15th, 1931, to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones near Mt. Sterling, Iowa, and departed this life at St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk, August 22, 1975, after a short illness.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Coleen Allen on August 10, 1952. To this union, four children were born, Jackie Jeane Beames, Mt. Pleasant, Lisa Helene, Tressa Elane and Scott Allen, all at home.
He served four years in the Air Force. He operated a garage and body shop for a number of years then moving to Mt. Pleasant where he continued the work until he decided to work in timber until his death.
He leaves to morn his passing his family at home, his father and mother, three brothers, Gerald of Mt. Sterling, Don and Dale of Fort Madison, and one sister, Arlene Cass of near Argyle.
He was a kind and loving husband, father, son and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
