Marjorie Juanita Barber

Marjorie Juanita Barber, 68, former Fairfield resident, died at 10:38 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 1993, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Van Buren County Hospital.

Mrs. Barber was born July 1, 1924, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ralph and Beulah Root Green. She married John E. Barber on Nov. 29, 1940, in Kirksville, Mo. She had lived in the Keosauqua area since 1955, with previous residence in Fairfield. She worked at American Chain and Cable Co. until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of Keosauqua VFW Auxiliary and Kilbourne Ladies Aid.

Surviving are three sons, Larry W. of Laura, Ill., Dennis and Rodger, both of Keosauqua; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. Her husband, parents, a sister, Doris Warner and a grandson preceded her in death.
