Morris Murphy, son of Fred and Jalina King Murphy was born March 16, 1887 near Keosauqua, Iowa and passed away at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital on June 14, 1967. He was a retired farmer.

On January 8, 1908, he was united in marriage to Ethel Kisling at Keosauqua, Iowa. To this union was born four children, Lawrence of Keosauqua, John of Casper, Wyoming, Iva Hixon of Douglas, Wyoming, and Floyd of Fort Madison.

He was a member of the Congregational Church and of the Keosauqua Masonc Lodge No. 10 A.F.&A.M.

Left to mourn his passing are his widow, four children, nine greandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, one sister, Iva J. Baird of Farmington, a brother, Charlie of Pulaski, Iowa nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother and a grand daughter.

Services were held Friday, June 16, 1967.
