David E. Wilson

David E. Wilson, 54, of Farmington died unexpectedly at 8:15 a.m. at his home in Farmington Wednesday, April 11.

He was born January 23, 1918, at Athens, Mo., the son of Everette and Mamie Sprouse Wilson. He married Anna Belle Hootman of Athens on August 2, 1941 in Rolls County, Mo. Most of his life was spent in Farmington except for five years in Brighton. He was a retired machine operator for River Products Quarry at Columbus Junction.

He was a member of the United Methodist church at Athens, Mo., and was present Commander of Richardson-Anthony Post No. 233, American Legion, at Farmington. He was a veteran of W.W. 2.

He is survived by his wife and one son, David E. Wilson Jr. of Farmington and three daughters, Lettie Ann Littleton of Blue Grass, Ia., Delores Ellen Hemminger of Wood River, Nebraska, and Frances Edna Wilson at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Lois) Shinn, Keokuk, and Mrs. Harvard (June) Jiranek of Farmington and three grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14 in the Farmington United Methodist church, the Rev. Edward Maus officiated. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery, with military services at the grave. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home had charge of the service.
