Mrs. Olive Rigsby

Mrs. Olive E. Rigsby, 84, of Keosauqua died at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29 in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.

She was born March 8, 1889 at Delavan, Ill., to John and Mamie Brownlee Wilson. She moved to Keosauqua as a child and spent the rest of her life here. Her marriage to Clark Rigsby was March 26, 1929 at Keosauqua. She was the oldest member of the Keosauqua Christian Church at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. Edna Pickard of Waldo, Ohio. Mrs. Gale Parsons of Keosauqua is a niece.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Christian Church with Pastor Raymond Lyons officiating. Burial was in Center Chapel Cemetery. Catcott Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

She was the oldest member of the Keosauqua Christian Church at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. Edna Pickard of Waldo, Ohio; three nieces, Mrs. Gale Parsons, Keosauqua, Mrs. June Moore, Waldo, Ohio, Mrs. Ruth Caswell, Omaha, Nebr. and one nephew, Dr. James Wilson of Chariton, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, and one brother, James of Fairfield.
